SGT Bishop Evans was one of the biggest blessings in my life after I decided to make the big move from New York to Texas. I had the honor of knowing him… we reclassed together in South Dakota and served overseas together with the 4/133 FA. Not a day that goes by that I don’t think of him and how comforted he made me feel during the extremely difficult transitions that life was throwing at me before and during the deployment. I can’t believe that it has been three years since he has been gone and I just can’t wait to see him do his intricate dances and talk to me about his knives/swords once again while having a bag of candy in hand.... I know that he is with me and watching over me. Never forgotten… Never ever.

It's hard to find the words to adequately honor a man such as Specialist Evans. In his all-too-brief time with us here, he exemplified all of that which makes our Nation great; honor, duty, service, and ultimately sacrifice weren't just words to him. It will be a sad privilege to be there as he joins so many other heroes. Rest in Peace, my brother and fellow soldier.
