I just learned the terrible news. I'm so sorry to learn of Charles' passing. Denver and Texaco were a long time ago, but never forgotten. Charles was very dear and such a fine man and friend. Prayers for you all.

Dearest Daphne, we are deeply hurt and saddened by Charles' passing. We met as co-workers at Texaco and became friends. We had so much fun, yes even at work. I know that you and the girls are the loves of his life! I'm humbled that you trusted me with your most precious gift to be Bianca's (honorary) Godmother and babysitter during your time in Houston. Every good and kind thing that has been said about him, his life, is absolutely true! Most of all your loving words about him being a Man of Excellence. It is evident the two of you live your faith in Jesus, being committed to Him, family, friends, church and community. I treasure the memories of him and know that I too will see him again. You truly are a Queen and a grace-filled daughter of Almighty God. I'm praying mightily for you and your family for God to comfort you and give you the peace that only He can.

Daphne and girls....I coached agents with Charles and Joe at KW Plano. It was so exciting to be a part of our 3 agent/coaches group. The Lord was always there with us when we met to discuss our agents and figure out the best ways to help them grow. Charles was so generous, kind, and couldn't help but share Christ with everyone. His love for you Dahne...was so evident at even the mention of your name....and the girls...well...I used to think I'd better step aside to miss one of the buttons flying off his shirt...so very proud of each one of them.
My promise to you ladies is to lift you up to the Lord in prayer. I know we will all join him in God's own timing...but until then "...and the Lord will continually guide you, and satisfy your desire in scorched places...and give strength to your bones, and you will be like a watered garden, like a spring of water whose waters do not fail." Isaiah 58:11

I had known Charles for a little over an year. We worked out together at CG. He always made himself available. He made special efforts to make an impact on our lives such as when he gave me books to refer to complete my project at work; when he stopped by at my baby shower after postponing his appointment. I will never forget the day when he could tell that I was disturbed and was going through a rough phase, he prayed for/with me in the parking lot at CG. He was a kind soul and I will never forget that smile. He will always greet me with Ms. Maa-hey-
