i regret waiting so long to reach out to George, and to hear of his passing saddens me. . . . I met George and Linda and their young family in 1980 in Norman, OK. I was a student at OU and my wife and and I were new to the area. A freeze went through the area in December and the engine block cracked in our Datsun (now Nissan) B210, a very small car, and the only car we had at the time, now we were without transportation.

George befriended me and said, "I will help you rebuild it if you pay for the parts which were about $125, that was everything we had in our savings acct at the time. And he made good on his promise.

I have told this story to many over the years, and it still brings a tear to my eyes. He was a good soul and would help anyone in need, I was one of his recipients. It's now Christmas 2024 and I thank God for people like George Harris. Thank-you Linda for sharing your husband w me.

We have known George since we moved to Texas. He and Linda have been such good friends. We have been honored to be part of our lives for over 20 years and have enjoyed visiting and partying with them. We had a tradition of going with them to the Texas State Fair for many years. It was always special to be there when he paid tribute to his fellow servicemen who had lost their lives protecting our freedoms. We admired how devoted he was to the Lord and how he served him by teaching and living like the Savior. He will be missed, but we look forward to a happy reunion in the years to come.
