Sheila led such a wonderful life! Her lifelong care for those around her will be significantly missed by her many friends and family. She was a talented quilt maker and reminded me of the time my mother spent quilting. Sheila gifted many of them to friends and family. They were a good reflection of the joy she lived. Her service to our country went beyond just serving in the Army as a nurse and officer but included a lifetime nursing. She attended many of Robert’s family reunions and was loved by all! Also, she made many, many friends while attending Robert’s reunion with his Field Artillery battalion friends he served with during the Vietnam war. I miss Sheila.
We were the mother-in-loves with a special bond that made us comrades in arms. We shared more than family and she will be greatly missed. Sending deep sympathy to the family. Gary and Helen Newcomb
Bob and I would like to extend out deepest sympathy to you Robert and all of Sheila’s loved ones at this very sad time. We have not been to a Military/Vietnam Reunion in a few years but we will always remember the warmth Sheila shown to others and the wonderful conversation we had together. She truly was a very special woman and after reading her obituary finding out she was a very accomplished and giving lady.
