Evelyn was born July 1, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois to Walter and Alma Runge. She grew up in Chicago and graduated from Hirsch High School. On September 3, 1949, she married Howard Lee Hunt at St. Paul Lutheran Church, the same church she was baptized and confirmed in. Prior to Howard's passing, she lived in Lake Havasu City, AZ where she volunteered at the Lake Havasu City Food Bank, served on the Food Bank Board, the Community Concert Association and Board, the Lake Havasu City Community Choir and Hava Sues Barbershop. Her family and her faith were very important to Evelyn and she was very active in her church. Whether playing the organ, singing in the choir, teaching Sunday school and confirmation classes, she always made time to help in any way possible. Evelyn moved to Arlington in 2004 and was a faithful member of Advent Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir, played the choral bells and was active in the Quilters and Naomi Circle. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cathy Jo Hunt.
Survivors: sons, Frank R. Hunt and his wife Beth, Jack H. Hunt and wife Mary Jean; daughter, Judy Lee Zienka and husband Ted; special friends, Lois Paulson and Peggy Mosher; and many more Texas and Arizona friends too numerous to mention.
