Linda Kay Ward Johnson Freeman, 70, was received into the hands of God, Sunday, September 14, 2014.
Visitation: 5pm - 7pm Wednesday, September 17, 2014 with services starting at 7pm at Grace Baptist Church; 13409 CR 511; Venus, TX.
Funeral services in Hutchinson will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 2pm at Cornerstone Baptist Church; 1028 E 16th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67501
Interment will be held at Fairlawn Memorial Park in Hutchinson, Kansas.
Kay was born August 15, 1944 in Pampa, Texas to Orval and Francis Allen. She grew up in White Deer, Texas and was a graduate of White Deer High School. In 2008, Kay moved to Alvarado from Hutchinson, Kansas and has been a member of Grace Baptist Church in Venus. She served as a Sunday school teacher and on the bus ministry. She enjoyed making Christmas crafts, going to garage sales and spending time working in her yard. Kay had a servant's heart and her kind and loving ways will be missed by all she knew.
Survivors: husband of 17 years, Oren R. Freeman of Alvarado; son, Norman Ward and wife Diane of Lexington, KY; daughter, Jennifer Eggers and husband James of Dodge City, KS; step-sons, Albert Freeman of Arlington, Tom Freeman and wife Betty of Midlothian; step-daughter, Trina Freeman of Mansfield, TX; sisters, Kathy Miller and husband Mike of Belton, TX, Connie Mebane and husband Jimmy of Rogers, AR, Kerri and husband Lynn of Farmington, NM, and Kenny Moyer and husband Joe of Buena Vista, Colorado; grandchildren, Casey, Jace, and Hannah Ward, Amy Guerrero and husband Victor, Jacob Eggers, Austin, Cody, Lisa and Kalind, Tanner, Ryder and Hunter Freeman, Jacob Montes,, Celia Duarte and Diego Duarte and one great grandchild Alejandro Guerrero; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
