Barbara Ryan's Obituary
Barbara Ann Ryan, 73, passed away on April 2, 2016 surrounded by her loving family, after a four year battle with cancer. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 10am at St. Jude Catholic Church in Mansfield, Texas with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 11am that morning. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.Floral arrangements may be delivered to St. Jude Catholic Church. Those choosing to make donations in Barbara's name instead may do so to the charity of choice.Barbara was born June 23, 1942 in Springfield, Missouri to Roy and HelenaBacksmeyer. She graduated from Oconomowoc High School in Oconomowoc,Wisconsin. There Barbara met the love of her life, Patrick J. Ryan, and on June 12, 1965 they were married. Family was very important to Barbara, and she took great pride in making a home for her family and everyone who visited. Barbara and Patrick lived in many places throughout their life together, including Wisconsin, Texas, Arkansas, Illinois and Arizona. They moved to Mansfield, Texas in 1979, where they became members of St. Jude Catholic Church. Barbara enjoyed entertaining family and friends, cooking, golfing, playing cards and taking great pride in her eleven grandchildren. Barbara was dearly loved by all who knew her and she will be deeply missed. Barbara was survived by her husband of 50 years, Patrick J. Ryan of Mansfield;daughter, Megan Frizzell (husband Jason) of Colleyville, TX; son, Michael H. Ryan (wife Deborah) of Colleyville, TX; son, Patrick "Joey" Ryan (wife Kristin) of Dallas; sister, Mary Burnham (husband Gary) of New Berlin, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Madeline, Olivia, and Luke Frizzell; Sarah, Jake, Grace, and Cade Ryan; Whitney, Hannah, Grant and Will Ryan; along with many nieces and nephews.
