Shari Shows Mikulenka's Obituary
Shari Mikulenka, 70, passed away March 5, 2013 in Arlington, Texas.
Celebration Of Life: 4pm - 6pm Friday, March 8, 2013 at Shady Valley Golf Club; Arlington.

Shari was born January 27, 1943 in Stockton, CA to Lewis and Jane Shows. She graduated high school in Yoakum, TX in 1960 and received her Bachelor of Science in Education from Texas Tech University in 1964. Shari believed in giving back to her community and had a calling to serve others. While living in Rockport, she volunteered in the Odyssey After School Enrichment Program, created the enrichment program's Odyssey Angels and 4H club. She was past-president of Partners of Arlington Life Shelter, served on the board of the Arlington Life Shelter, past-president of the Interbrook Women's Association and received the Hero of Homeless award for her strong advocacy for the homeless and dedication to the Arlington Life Shelter. Shari enjoyed playing tennis, bridge and golf. She was a member of the Shady Valley Golf Association, the Rockport Country Club and helped organize golf tournaments with the Ladies Golf Association. Her love for others and caring heart will always be missed by her family and many friends.
Survivors: Husband, Timm L. Mikulenka; son, Timothy T. Mikulenka; daughter, Stacy J. Huston and husband Charles; sister, Pam Morgan; brother, David Shows and wife Mary; granddaughter, Charlotte Huston.
