Ed Thompson's Obituary
Ed Thompson, 45, was received into the hands of God, Wednesday, August 22, 2012.
Celebration Of Ed's life will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 11:30am at Crossroads Christian Church; 6450 S. State Highway 360, Grand Prairie, TX.
For those not able to attend the memorial service, a gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday night, August 28, 2012 from 6pm to 8pm at Mansfield Funeral Home.
The family asks that those wishing to bring donations please utilize a gift cards to assure perishable goods do not go unused.
Ed was born August 1, 1967 in Athen, Texas to Bernell Sr. and Clordine Smith. He worked for The "T" in Fort Worth as a Maintenance Analyst. He enjoyed biking, swimming, riding his motorcycle and competing in triathlons. He loved restoring old vehicles and was proud of his restored 1961 Chevy truck. He was a member of Crossroads Church where he worked in the Media Ministry. Ed enjoyed traveling and loved spending time with his family, which was most important to him. Ed was a loving husband and great father. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.
Ed is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Regina Thompson of Mansfield; children, Eden and Edward, Jr.; mother, Clordine Thompson of Fort Worth; father, Bernell Thompson, SR and his wife Ailene of Athens, TX; brothers, Ben A. Thompson of Seven Points, TX and Bernell Thompson, Jr. and his wife Beverly of Fort Worth; sisters, Gloria Sipho and her husband Milton of Arlington, TX, Nell Watley and Lisa Thompson, both of Fort Worth.
