Dorothy Bradford, 87, was united with her heavenly father on Tuesday, March 11, 2014.Visitation: Saturday, May 15, 2014 at Creekwood Church; 260 N. Miller Road; Mansfield, TX with funeral services following at 11am.Interment: Cedar Hill Memorial Park.Dorothy was born May 7, 1926 in Longview, Texas to Zed Garrison and Luvenia Wilson Garrison. She graduated from Greenville High School and attended Gregg County Beauty School. She worked as a beautician and developed many friendships. Dorothy was also a very dedicated mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed and always loved by those close to her. Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving parents and 13 brothers and sisters. Dorothy leaves to cherish her loving memory, her son, Melvin Bates and his wife Portia of Fort Worth and their children, Tammy, Kimberly, Marcel, Melanie and Adrianne; son, James Benson and his wife Mary Ann of Arlngton and their daughters, Angelique and Stephanie; daughter, Evelyn Wilkins and her husband Horace of Flower Mound and their children, Chris, Trey, Kimberlie, Amber and Kevin; niece, who was more like a sister to Dorothy, Dova R. Lacy; a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
