Russell my friend....I'm going to miss you buddy! You always made me laugh while we worked together. I enjoyed the time spent with you and our in depth conversations about the after life. You were one of those friends that touched my heart more than most and you will not be forgotten. God Speed Buddy!
Russel J. I'm in shock still as I am sure many others are! My husband is one of the many men you helped. He is out of town for two weeks at work and asked me to send his highest regards and deepest sympathies to your family and all those who are grieving your loss. The loss is a big one. When people say "everyone is replaceable" they ain't never met Russel J!!! Thank you for always being willing. I remember how many times I reached out for guidance w H&I I'm grateful for your experience your strength but most of all your hope! I know it played a part in my recovery, definitely helped save my husband's life, and the lives of so many others!!! Well my friend, I heard you saw Jesus face to face before me today. wow! I am going to miss you my brother but I want you to know that I celebrate your life. I am so proud of you. I preached about you tonight at OpenDoor. Thank you for being my friend and for helping so many people escape the chains of addiction! I will never forget when you dress up and played Jesus for our Vacation bible school 5 years ago. I remember that little girl from the ghetto who didnt like anybody but she thought you was God! she loved you so much and you were so good to her. Russell, I remember the many times you and David talked on the phone when he sponsored you, back in the day. Know you and he are at that bug meeting in the sky with Jimmy K and all the others who have gone before. Tell David I LOVE and miss him. Love and will miss you too.
Russell, every time I have seen you and your wife at church you always glowed with God's love and joy! I will always miss sitting behind you and feeling like you could see me from the back of your head cuz you kept your sunglasses on backwards while in church! You will be greatly missed. We'll see you in paradise!
