Richard Allen Robertson's Obituary
Richard "Rich" Allen Robertson, Jr., 47, of Mansfield, was united with his heavenly Father, January 3, 2013, after losing a courageous battle with cancer.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 1pm at El Reno Cemetery in Oklahoma.
A memorial service celebrating Rich's life will be held on Friday, January 11, 2013 at 5pm at
The Community at Lake Ridge Church
in Arlington, TX.
Rich was born April 27, 1965 in El Reno, Oklahoma to Richard and Elsie Robertson who predeceased him. He was a graduate of El Reno High School in 1983 an attended Redlands Community College for a short while. He continued his college studies at the University of Houston and the University of Texas in Arlington majoring in Special Education and minoring in Spanish. Rich was a valued employee of Dillard's Department Store where he has worked for over 24 years and was currently employed as their Visual Merchandising Manager at the their Hulen location in Fort Worth. He loved to travel and has spent time visiting the Greek Islands, Pureto Rico, Austrailia, Chile', Canada, Mexico, Turkey and Greece. He enjoyed cooking and gardening and was a coach and judge for many of the Miss Teen USA, Miss USA and Mrs. America State Pageants. Rich was a member of TCAL, The Community at Lake Ridge Church in Arlington. He was preceded in death by his brother, Rick Robertson of El Reno, OK, and his miniature schnauzer, Niles Robertson-Borrero.
Survivors: loving partner, A.J. Borrero of Mansfield, TX; sister, Vickie Leger of Eunice, LA; grandmother, Norene Turpin of Antlers, OK; and loving miniature schnauzer, Sheridan Robertson-Borrero.
