Rebecca Faneros Green's Obituary
ARLINGTON -- Rebecca Faneros Green, 86, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2010 in a local Arlington hospital. A wake will be held on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a Trisagion service at 7 p.m. at Alternative Funeral Services in Mansfield. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 2020 NW 21st Street in Fort Worth. Burial will be in Moore Memorial Gardens. Rebecca was born Jun 20, 1923 in Biddeford, Maine. She was a longtime member of St. Demetrious Greek Orthodox Church, enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and the company of a good book. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Donald Green, sister, Diamond Vlahos, and brothers, Nick, Steve, and Andrew Faneros. Survivors: daughter, Nancy Ward and her husband Byron, granddaughter, Corynn Emily Ward and grandson, Andrew Dean Ward all of Arlington.
