Lana Demott Mitchell's Obituary
Lana Turner DeMott Mitchell, 65, died July 8, 2009, after a brief illness.
Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday at North Euless Baptist Church, 505 W. Harwood, Euless, the Rev. Clay Carter officiating.

Lana was born February 17, 1944, to Ida Bernice and Pearle Stanley Turner in Dodge City, Kansas. She graduated from Santa Ana High School in California. She moved to Texas in 1974.
Lana enjoyed healthy living, camping and spending time in her park-like yard with its flowers, birds, squirrels and koi pond. She loved to cook, especially at the holidays. At family gatherings, she frequently provided behind-the-scenes help to make everything flow smoothly. A kindhearted and thoughtful soul, she cherished time with loved ones, particularly her grandchildren.
Survivors: husband, Robert “Greg� Mitchell; sons, Jason DeMott and wife Marian, and Brent DeMott; stepdaughters Whitney Carter and husband Clay, and Rebecca Mitchell; grandchildren, Ella, Willing, Turner and Briggs DeMott, Ellie Carter and Ayden Hill; sisters, Ruth Oge and Jan Osburne; brother, Cy Turner; and mother-in-law Millie Mitchell.
