Richard Dale Howard, 61, passed away March 10, 2012 while at his Mansfield home.
Celebration of Life: 7pm Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Matthew Road Baptist Church, 4601 Matthew Road Grand Prairie, TX 75052.
Richard was born May 23, 1950 in Big Sandy, Texas to Donnie and Sarah Howard, SR. In 1970, he married Charlotte Nixon and was working as a police officer with the Dallas Police Department. He also worked for the Coppell Police Department in the 70's and his love for police work kept him active working as a security guard for the University of Texas. Richard had many hobbies. He enjoyed collecting knives and guns, loved action/adventure and sic-fi movies, writing poetry and riding motorcycles. He most recently worked as a truck driver, having driven for Albertson, FlintCoat adhesives. Richard was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors: wife of 42 year, Charlotte Howard of Mansfield; daughter, Robin Denise Moser and her husband Ron, Jr. of Grand Prairie; son, Dathan Howard and his wife Jessica of Watertown, New York; grandsons, Jacob and Ethan Moser of Grand Prairie; granddaughters, Brooklyn and Savannah Howard of Waterton, New York; and brother, Frankie Howard of Dallas, Texas.
