ARLINGTON --
Mary Louise Sowle, 83, passed away July 30, 2010 in a local hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Memorial Service:
11am Monday at Advent Lutheran Church, 3232 South Cooper Street Arlington.
Memorials:
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, March of Dimes or Advent Lutheran Church.
Mary was born September 11, 1926 in Grand Haven, Michigan to the late Earl and Louise Alexander. She graduated from Muskegon Heights High School in Michigan and moved to Arlington in 1976. She was a former member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, South Bend, Indiana, where she played an active role in church affairs. She was also a former member of Shepherd of Life Lutheran Church and an active member of Advent Lutheran Church, Arlington, Texas where she participated with the Fun 4 Lunch Bunch and Prayer Chain group. Mary was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be deeply missed and always loved by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Earl Alexander of Florida.
Survivors:
husband of 63 years, Allen M. Sowle of Arlington; son, Allen M. Sowle, Jr of San Francisco, CA; daughter, Kathleen Louise Sowle Stolar of Wilton, CT; grandson, Alexander W. Stolar of Tampa, FL; granddaughter, Catherine E. Stolar of Wilton, CT; and sister, Ruth Elizabeth Howell of Wayland, MI.
