Anita "Connie" Redden's Obituary
Anita "Connie" Redden, 82, passed away Monday, February 23, 2015 while in a Fort Worth hospital.
A gathering will be held on Friday at Connie's daughter, Patty's, home from 6pm to 8pm.
Graveside Service: Final gathering will be at 11am Saturday at Mansfield Fuenral Home before leaving for graveside services at 3pm Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Crestview Memorial Park in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Connie was born April 23, 1932 in Sahuarita, Arizona to David and Julia Obregon. Her marriage to her husband, Col. James E. Redden, allowed her to live in various places before settling down in Kennedale for the past 30 years. Connie spent her career as a Licensed Vocational Nurse, having received her certification from Bethania Hospital in Wichita Falls. Connie had a great sense of humor and her grandchildren thought of her as the "coolest" grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crocheting, dancing, and was an artistic painter. She was loved by everyone she met and lived her life to the fullest. Connie will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Col. James E. Redden; 2nd husband, Ed Talamantes; grandson, Allen Wilemon; sisters, Alice King, Julia Rodgers, Mary Baughman, and Blanch Armenta; and daughter in law, Merrie Redden.
Survivors: daughter, Patty Webb and husband Jay of Fort Worth; sons, James Redden and wife Debbie of Montgomery, AL, Eric Redden of Kennedale, Byron Redden and wife Sheri of Coronado, CA, and Wyatt Redden and wife Marcia of Fort Worth; brother, Robert "Bobby: Obregon of El Paso; 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives; and loving friend and caretaker, Heather Mack.
