A person of strength, a heart bigger than most, to my my dear daddy, I'd like to make a toast. When he couldn't, he tried. When it hurt he was tough. Although he was down, he still played his turn, weakness aside he showed he never had enough. My father had his demons, as most do... but his way of life, his beliefs, and mind set, he would forever be true. He was an appreciative man, never complained about what was not, and never boasted about what good he's got. When he spoke he let his heart do the talking, although at times his mind did the walking.....He never rested without hard work occupying most of his day...You could ask him his dream, it was never more than just getting away. A stubborn man never imagined to leave so soon, but rest assured, for The Lord in his heart, he more than made room. I can't say he was perfect but who can say someone is... I mean without "losing their hair" from lying? I can say my daddy was mine and me his goober, if one thing I remember, my daddy was alway trying. He's been waiting patiently for this day to begin, now it has, and I understand that he's been playing a game we all wish to win. He's better than us all now, that lucky son of a man. Most don't know he had found The Lord, but my daddy became a big fan. I am my fathers daughter, being a daddy's girl Is what knew best. I wish this had never happened and I miss him immensely, but I know his tired soul is finally at rest.
