Dorothy Mae Morris' Obituary
Dorothy "Dottie" Mae Morris, 89, passed away after complications from a fall on Sunday, January 20, 2013, with family and friends at her side. She was born in Wichita, Kansas on June 25, 1923, the daughter of Myron and Mae Hull. She graduated from Wesley School of Nursing in 1942, and served as a Second Lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps during WWII.
She married Brad M. Morris on July 14, 1946. They moved from Wichita to Dodge City shortly thereafter where she worked at both St. Anthony and Trinity Hospitals. She taught nursing extension classes for many years through Dodge City Junior College and served in later years at area nursing centers in Ransom, Minneola, Cimarron and Satanata, Kansas.
She is survived by two sons, Clifford Morris of Grand Prairie, TX and John Morris of Tulsa, OK; two daughters, Allyn Collins and Nancy Herren and husband, Craig, all of Arlington, TX; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, Bradford H. Morris and a granddaughter, Holli D. Garrison.
