Norma Martinez, 60, was received into the hands of God, Saturday, February 2, 2013 while in a Mansfield Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation: 12pm - 8pm Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Mansfield Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 10am, Thursday, February 7, 2013 at
Crossroads Christian Church; 6450 Texas 360Â Grand Prairie, TX 76015
Burial: Calvary Cemetery in Mansfield.
Norma was born June 16, 1952 in Robstown to Jesus and Viola Trevino. She grew up in Robstown and graduated from Robstown High School. on May 22, 1970, she married Juan Martinez in Corpus Christi and shortly after moved to the Dallas Fort Worth area. Norma loved her family very much and often coordinated family events. She adored her time with her grandchildren and she cherished the time spent on family trips. She enjoyed sewing, collecting dolls, shopping and dancing. Norma will be deeply missed and always loved by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jesse Trevino, Jr. and sister, Thelma Mayfield.
Survivors: husband of 42 years, Juan F. Martinez of Mansfield; sons, John Michael Martinez, Eric Lee Martinez and his wife Karey and Juan Martinez, Jr. all of Mansfield; brothers, Israel Trevino and his wife Paula of Robstown and Bert Trevino and his wife Pearl of Grand Prairie; sister, Naomi Rodriguez and her husband Raul of Arlington; brother-in-law, Huey Mayfield of Corsicana; sister-in-law, Benita Trevino of Dallas; grandchildren, Jilina Martinez and Shawn Huynh both of Mansfield; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
