Loyce Bush Clifton's Obituary
Loyce Bush Clifton, 90, was united with her heavenly Father, Monday, July 18, 2011 while at home surrounded by members of her loving family.
Gathering of friends and family will be at 9am to 11am Thursday, July 21, 2011 at the Church of the Good Shepherd United Methodist, 2020 S. Collins, Arlington.
Funeral Services will begin at 11am following the gathering.
Burial will be Friday, July 22, 2011 at 3pm at Resthaven Memorial Park in Lubbock, Texas.
Should friends desire, contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
Loyce was born March 13, 1921 in Lubbock, Texas to James and Ruby Bush. She retired from John Halsey Drug Store where she dedicated over 30 years of loyal service working as their bookkeeper. She was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church before retiring and moving to Toledo Bend Lake, Texas. In 1995 she moved to Victoria, TX to reside with her daughter Kay and family and in 2005 she moved with her family to Keller to be near other family members. She recently joined the Church of the Good Shepherd UMC in Arlington. She enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with her family, especially her great grand children. Loyce was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Merritt Clifton; sisters, Dorothy Simpson and Juanita Hinson; brothers, Herman, John and Elmer Bush.
Suvivors: son, Gary Clifton and his wife Pam of Tyler, TX; daughter, Kay Reynolds and her husband, Eldon of Keller; sisters, Ruby White of Iowa Park, TX and Pat McCracken of Lubbock; granddaughters, Merritt Dobecka of Keller, Stacey Yepes of Dallas, and Kara Russell of Tyler; grandsons, Tommy Burnell of Keller and Kyle Clifton of Tyler; 7 great grandchildren.
