Richard Spahr's Obituary
Richard G. Spahr, 62, passed away, August 19, 2014, while at his Alvarado home.
Memorial Service: 7pm Saturday August 23, 2014 at Mansfield Funeral Home.
Richard was born November 7, 1951 in Wellington, Kansas to Walter and Esther Spahr. He was raised in Kansas and Amarillo and before moving to Cleburne. He graduated from Cleburn High School and earned his degree from Tarrant County College. He continued his studies at TCU and began working for Chaparral Steel, now Gerdau Ameristeel, dedicating over 30 years working in Human Resources. Richard enjoyed attending the Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association and the Single Action Shooting Society events. He also enjoyed attending renaissance, steampunk and pirate fairs. He was a very hardworker and a family man. Richard will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Survivors: wife of 40 years, Renee Spahr of Alvarado; sons, Kerri Rebel Spahr of Houston and Kelly Spahr of Cleburne; daughter, Kassie Spahr of Wellston, OK; brother, Karl Spahr of Fort Worth; 5 grandchildren; and many other relatives.
