Ophelia Garza David, 64, was received into the hands of God, Sunday, September 2, 2012 while in a local hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation: 6pm to 8pm Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Mansfield Funeral Home; 1556 W. Heritage Parkway; Mansfield.
Funeral Service: 10am Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Creekwood Church; 260 N. Miller Road; Mansfield, TX
Burial: Mansfield Cemetery.
Ophelia was born July 26, 1948 in Traverse City, Michigan to Rafael and Josephine Garza. She was formally employed with the City of Wichita Falls Parks Department and the Wichita General Hospital. She moved here in 1991 with her family and worked hard to support and provide for her children. Her faith and family were most important to her. She attended Harvest Temple in Grand Prairie and loved the Lord with all her heart. Ophelia was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be deeply missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Rudy Garza and Carlos Minjarez; and sister, Margarita Ayala.
Ophelia is survived by her sons, John David and his wife Carla of Nevada, TX, Ralph David and his wife Heather and Paul David, both of Arlington, Kevin Brumfield and his wife Keona of Fort Worth; daughter, Ladena Dennis and her husband Anthony of Alexandria, LA; brother, Ralph Garza, Jr. and his wife Cindy of Wichita Falls; 13 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
