Blake Skiles Rogers' Obituary
ARLINGTON -- Blake Skiles Rogers, 20, was received into the hands of God after a short time with us.
Celebration of Life: 2pm Monday, August 16, 2010 at Creekwood Church, 260 North Miller Road,Mansfield.
Blake was born April 19, 1990 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He grew up in Kennedale and attended Kennedale High School as well as Catoosa High School in Catoosa, OK. He loved art and drawing and excelled in track and football. Blake enjoyed camping with his church youth group, music, motorcycles and his creative skills enabled him to attain the first place prize in the Kennedale Arts Fair. Blake will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Charles Rogers of Canadian, TX, Harold Ripperger of Tulsa, OK, and Duane Paulsgrove of Springdale, AR.
Survivors: mother, Toni McCollister and her husband Bryan of Kennedale; father, Lance Rogers and wife Melanie of Catoosa, OK; brothers, Bryce McCollister of Kennedale and Aaron McCollister of Shreveport, LA; sisters, DeAnn Shelstead and her husband Justin of Clarksville, TN and Lauren Rogers of Catoosa, OK; grandparents, Dean and Mary McCollister of Shreveport, Donnie and Barbara Payne of Lubbock, grandmothers, Bobbie Ripperger of Tulsa, OK and Mary Paulsgrove of Springdale, AR, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
