CeCile Camplain's Obituary
CeCile Maybelle Camplain, 94, was received into the hands of God on Saturday, March 28, 2015.
10 a.m. Friday at First Church of the Nazarene, 1301 W. Green Oaks Blvd., Arlington. Interment: Emerald Hills Memorial Park. Family and friends will gather to visit 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Mansfield Funeral Home.
CeCile was born Nov. 14, 1920, in Kennesaw, Ga., to Fred and Maddie Dowdle. On Sept. 13, 1939, she married Arthur Eugene Camplain; he predeceased her in 2005. In her early years, CeCile lived in Glendale, Calif., and volunteered for the City of Hope Hospital. She had resided in Arlington for the past 34 years and served as past president of the Encore Club of Arlington and was a member of the Arlington Woman's Club. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting and quilting, and was an artistic painter. Of all the things she enjoyed, none were more important to her than the love she had for her family.
CeCile was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; sister, Kathleen Kropp; and granddaughter, Jodi Lynne Gilbert, in 2010.
She is survived by her daughters, Margean Carman and husband, Bill, of Arlington and Bobbie Marie Gilbert and husband, Jim, of Murrietta, Calif.; son, Stephen E. Camplain and wife, Jeanne, of Buckeye, Ariz.; grandchildren Karrie Cuevas and her husband Ed, Sharon Gallop and her husband Chris, Doug Carman and his wife Louise Marshall, Greg Gilbert and his wife Nancy, Marni Camplain Delucia, Craig Camplain, Amy Camplain Burchfield; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
