Luverne A. Hentschel, 94, passed away June 14, 2012 in Mansfield, Texas.
Private services are being held.
The family would like to thank Walnut Creek Assisted Living and Heart to Heart Hospice for their exceptional care and compassion.
Luverne was born April 9, 1918 in Stockholm, Wisconsin to Wilford and Amelia Josephson. She graduated from Red Wing High School in 1936. On October 15, 1948 she married Richard Hentschel in St. Paul, Minnesota and they moved to San Diego, CA in 1954 where she was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Luverne loved spending time with her family and enjoyed traveling overseas to Germany and England to visit her daughters where their families were stationed. After Richard's passing, Luverne moved to Mansfield in 2005 to be closer to her family. She resided at Walnut Creek Assisted Living and enjoyed the many activities and friends there. Luverne will be deeply missed and always loved by her family and friends.
Luverne was preceded in death by her husband, Richard M. Hentschel of San Diego, CA, and sisters, Arlel Josephson and Valerie Molzahn both of Redlands, CA.
Survivors: daughters, Kathy Nickason and her husband Jim of Mansfield and Patty Coulter and her husband Jack of Aurora, CO; grandsons, Mark Nickason of Breckenridge, CO, Chris and Nicholas Coulter, both of Aurora, Co; granddaughter, Laura Hammer and her husband Hoyt of Fort Worth; great grandsons, Will and Aaron Hammer both of Fort Worth.
