Carl Dennis Andrew Nalley, 68, a talented and prolific steel guitarist passed away, Friday, June 10, 2011 in a Dallas hospital.
Visitation and Gathering of Family and Friends: 6pm to 8pm Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Alternative Funeral Services of Mansfield.
Celebration of Life: 12:00pm Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Creekwood Church, 260 N. Miller RD, Mansfield, TX.
Burial: Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Carl was born October 21, 1942 to Carl and Opal Nalley, who preceded him in death. He was born and raised in Atlanta, GA and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a talented steel guitarist, known as "Buddy Andrews", and played with many well known Country and Gospel artists. He enjoyed fishing, cooking, spending time with his grandchildren and rooting for his favorite football teams, the Dallas Cowboys and the Georgia Bulldogs. Carl's loving ways and kindness will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Nalley of Arlington, TX.
Survivors: wife of 30 years, Mary Nalley of Mansfield; sons, Bill Nalley and his wife Kelly of Charlestown, WV, Tod Nalley of White Settlement, TX, Darrell Nalley and his wife Jeanna of Arlington, Jerry Nalley and his wife Misty of Alvarado, Malcolm Norred of Mansfield and Carl "Beeper" Nalley and his wife Jennifer of El Paso, TX; daughters, Jean "Sissy" Justice and her husband Darell Musser of Arlington, Shawna Barclay of Georgetown, TX, Samantha Norred of Keller, TX, Renea Norred of Arlington, Merrie Jones and her husband Willie of Mansfield, Tracci Nalley and Kathy Nalley both of Arlington; sisters, Judy Fox and Sheila Nalley both of Hagarstown, MD, Sharon Holland of Baton Rouge, LA, Wanda Halliburton of Baker, LA, Deborah Plain of Falling Waters, WV, 25 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
