Allan Ray Lyons' Obituary
Allan Ray Lyons, 71, passed away Friday, September 23, 2011 in a Mansfield Hospital.
Memorial Services will be held at 10am Friday, September 30, 2011 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery,
2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas.

Allan was born April 15, 1940 in Denton, Texas to Oscar and Frankie Lyons. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas before enlisting into the United States Marine Corps in 1959. On August 30, 1963, Allan was honorably discharged from the Marines with the rank of Corporal.
He opened Lyons Gulf Service in Farmers Branch where he utilized his mechanical skills for over 20 years. With his instructor training courses from the US Marines and his knowledge in automotive repair, Allen began instructing at ATI Career Institute and Lincoln Technical Institute for the past 10 years. he loved teaching and was an inspiration to the students and staff.
Allan had a unique sense of humor and was a pleasure to be around. He loved riding his Harley, fishing and golfing.
Allan will be deeply missed and always loved by his family and many friends.
Survivors: loving wife of 23 years, Brenda Lyons of Waxahachie; daughters, Jamie R. Carter of Forney, TX, Laurica McElroy of Grand Prairie, and Shelly McElroy of Salt Lake City, UT; grandchildren, Joshua and Courtney Capner both of Forney, TX, Damion Williams of Midvale, UT; great grandchildren, Meghan and Diesel Williams both of Midvale, UT; 1 brother, 1 sister, and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
