Sarah Thompson's Obituary
Sarah Thompson, 65, went to be with the Lord, December 11, 2012 while surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 16, 2012 from 5pm to 8pm at Mansfield Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday December 18, 2012 at 12:30pm at Mansfield Bible Church; 2351 Country Club Drive, Mansfield, TX 76063.
Interment will follow at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at 2:30pm.
Sarah was born March 30, 1947 in Houston, Texas to Walton and Janis Mayfield. She grew up in Houston and graduated from Spring Branch High School. On December 13, 1969, she married Michael Thompson in Shiro, TX. Together, she and Michael owned and operated Top Electrical Services in Fort Worth over 26 years. Sarah loved the beach and collecting sea shells, writing calligraphy, fishing, camping, shopping and reading bedtime stories to her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Survivors: Husband of 43 years, Michael Thompson of Fort Worth, adopted daughter, Shelly Cook and her husband Steven of Mansfield; brother, Hal Mayfield of Plano; sisters Joan Klutz of Houston and Mary Anne Macmorran of Austin; grandchildren, Dakota and Irelyn Sullivan, Phoenix Nellen, Nichole Shepard, Natalee and Abbee Cook; and her loving friend and companion, her Shih Tzu, Skipper.
