Dorothy passed away on May 23, 2013.
Memorial Service: 6pm Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Mansfield Funeral Home.
Memorial Service: 11am Friday, June 7, 2013 in Toledo, Ohio.
Burial at Willow Cemetery in Oregon.
Dorothy was born in Toledo, Ohio to Robert and Agnes (Bennett) Whitmore, March 22, 1923, and married Arthur Brauer. She and her husband left Toledo in 1949 due to Arthur's many job transfers. After his death, Dorothy returned to Toledo until moving to Texas in 2012 to live with her son and family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Arthur, her brother, Robert, Jr., and sister, Helen Cashman.
Dorothy is survived by her sons, Mark Brauer of San Francisco, CA., and Jeffrey Brauer and his wife Sandra of Dallas; three grandchildren, Susan, Andrew and Paige; three great grandchildren, Christian Addison and Parker; brother, Richard Whitmore and his wife Violet of Margate, FL; and many dear nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorials to the Dennis Whitmore Scholarship Fund at BGSU, Sight Center of Toledo, or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
