Tom W. Opera's Obituary
Tom Opera passed away Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013.
Memorial service: 2 p.m. Friday at Mansfield Funeral Home.
Memorials: Flowers may be sent to Mansfield Funeral Home or donations may be made in Tom's name to the Scleroderma Foundation.
Tom was born Oct. 18, 1959, in Tonawanda, N.Y., to George and Elaine Opera. He served in the U.S. Army and moved to the D/FW area in 1979. Tom was employed as a tool maker at Vought Aircraft and worked there for 29 years. As a young man Tom joined the Haltom City Masonic Lodge and became a Master Mason. His favorite pastimes were riding his Harley Davidson and making people laugh. He was a friend to everyone and will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Opera.
Survivors: Wife, Eileen Opera of Mansfield; son, Thomas Dale Opera of Dallas; daughter, Courtney M. Opera of Mansfield; father, George Opera of Tonawanda, N.Y.; stepson, Kyle Moses of Mansfield; brothers, Danny and Stanley Opera; and two grandchildren.
