Janet Kay Mannen's Obituary
Janet Kay Mannen, 62, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2012.
Celebration of Life: 10am Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Mansfield Funeral Home.
Janet was born January 14, 1950 in Mt. Pleasant to Carl and Mae Register. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and moved to the Arlington/Mansfield area in 1987. She worked as a comptroller in the automotive dealership business over 30 years and was currently employed with Lynn Smith Chevrolet where she had dedicated over 20 years of loyal service. She also was an active participant with the Chevrolet Round Table Council. Janet loved to cross stitch and often donated her blankets to Project Linus, helping children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need. She enjoyed reading mysteries, rooting for her favorite NASCAR driver, Dale, Jr. and took pleasure in the beauty of her backyard rose bushes. Janet will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Cassidy Flowers.
Survivors: husband of 31 years, James "Jim" Mannen of Mansfield; daughter, Erin Mann and her husband Bill; sons, David Mannen, John Mannen and his wife Kasey; grandsons, Brock and Hunter Mannen; sisters, Doris Wellington, Jean Smoot and her husband Robert; nephews, Butch and Kevin Wellington; nieces, Kristen Smoot and Tina Renee Ballard; great nephews, A.J. Ballard and Justis; great nieces, Katy Jerrel and Randi and by her loving cat, Pete.
