Michael "Mikey" Scaccia, 47, passed away December 23, 2012 while playing a show in Fort Worth, Texas.

Aristide Event Center

Michael was born June 14, 1965 in Port Jefferson, New York to Ralph and Mary Scaccia. Mikey was a professional musician and began his career with Rigor Mortis, a band he formed in 1983, and eventually signed a major record deal with Capitol Records in 1989. He was also the lead guitarist of the band Ministry and in addition to other internationally acclaimed groups. Although he had a passion for his music, he had an unparalleled love for his wife, children and family. Mikey will be deeply missed and always loved by his family, friends and many fans. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary M. Scaccia.
Survivors: wife of 6 years, Jenny Scaccia; son, Ryder James Scaccia of Arlington; daughters, Gianna Jade Scaccia of Arlington, Taarna Melissa Hopkins and her husband Geoff and Sarah Jordan Scaccia, both of Washington, DC; father; Ralph Scaccia of Ferris, TX; sisters, Sherry Swindell of Arlington, Diane Howell of Garland and Debbie Huneycutt of Ferris; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
