Edward Flores Talamantes' Obituary
Edward Flores Talamantes was received into the hands of The Lord on December 18, 2011.
Graveside services will be held at 11:15 am on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Ed served in the United States Navy for 11 years which included the Korean conflict. After his discharge, he worked with the Department of Defense at Kelly Air Force Base until his retirement in 1983. While in the Navy and with Department of Defense, he traveled to the far East and Europe and of course all over the United States.
Ed was born on June 14, 1928 in San Antonio, Texas to Arthur and Bessie Talamantes. He is survived by his sister Mary Perez and her husband Melvin of San Antonio, Texas, and his brother, Arthur Talamantes and his wife Carolyn of Georgetown, Texas. Many nieces and nephews.
With his 'adopted family', the Reddens, he leaves behind a daughter, Patty and four sons, Jim, Britt, Byron and Wyatt and their spouses. He enjoyed 16 grandchildren, 10 great children who will miss him forever.
