CMSgt Milton Anthon USAF (Ret.) was received into the hands of God, Tuesday, June 15, 2010 while in an Arlington Hospital.
Visitation: 6pm to 8pm Tuesday at the Alternative Funeral Services Visitation Suite.
Celebration of Life: 10am Wednesday at Creekwood Church, 260 N. Miller Road; Mansfield.
Burial will be held at 11:30am Wednesday at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery with full military honors.
Memorials: Donations in Milton's memory may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust at www.cst.dav.org
Milton was born August 8, 1938 in Waco to Rufus and Joyce Anthon who preceded him in death. He was employed with Vought Aircraft Industries in production control for over 42 years and was a member of UAW Local 848. He was a veteran of the US Navy and retired from the Air Force National Guard as a Chief Master Sergeant dedicating over 39 loyal years serving our country. Milton was a born and raised Texas having lived in the DFW Metroplex most of his life. He was a Patriot in every sense of the word and was proud of his country. He enjoyed gardening, collecting and sports, especially football. Milton was a very giving person who loved his family very much.
Survivors: loving wife of 19 years, Paulette Anthon, sons, Milton, Jr and wife Hannah, Mike Anthon and wife Maria, Terry Anthon and wife Kim, Larry Anthon and wife Joyce, Danny Shepherd and grandson whom Milton raised, Terry Shepherd; daughters, Karen Dover and husband Jim, Robin Giddings, Kristin Anthon, Delayna Mizer and husband Johnny, Dawn Liner and husband Mike and Shannon Olson; sister, Billie Joyce Davis, 20 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
