James "Jim" Yetter's Obituary
James "Pap" F. Yetter, 73, passed away on March 29, 2016 in Grand Prairie, Texas.
Jim was born September 7, 1942 in Lewistown, PA to Charles and Florence Yetter. He grew up in Lewistown and moved to North Texas in 1980. In 1986 he married Carolyn Jo Robertson and moved to Quinlan, Texas where he has resided the remainder of his life. At an early age, Jim enjoyed training horses and worked in the automotive industry before moving into the trucking industry doing long haul trucking for Southwest Transportation and FFE, Inc. He enjoyed driving, especially when his trips took him back home to Pennsylvania. He loved working with his hands and in his spare time could be found working on cars, woodworking, carpentry, or rooting for the Dallas Cowboys during football season. Jim also loved spending time with his family and 3 dogs. He will be forever missed by his family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Jeannie and Nancy Yetter, Patricia Bloom and brothers, Jack and Charles Yetter.
Survivors: loving wife of 30 years, Carolyn J. Yetter of Quinlan, TX; children, Pamela Smith and Scott (Michelle) Yetter both of Lewistown, Daniel Yetter of Burnham, Teresa (Eric) Peters of Reedsville, Craig (Heather) Yetter of Lewistown; step-children, Michelle (John) Oznick of Royse City, TX, Tanya (Craig) Gentry of Dallas and David (Patty) Mohler of Grand Prairie; sisters, Betty Bearley and Beverly Fisher of Lewistown; 24 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Memorial services will be held at Yeagertown United Methodist church at the corner of 2nd and Mann Ave in Yeagertown. Receiving family and friends from 10 am - 11 am, services will start at 11 am.
