Sean Gano's Obituary
Sean K. Gano, 49, was received into the hands of God, Sunday, June 8, 2014.
Funeral:1 p.m. Saturday at Creekwood Church, 260 N. Miller Road, Mansfield. Visitation: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church with the family receiving friends at noon.
Sean was born January 24, 1965 in Rochester, NY to Samuel and Genevia Gano. He grew up in Rochester and graduated from Edison Tech High School before being accepted into The United States Military Academy at West Point. Upon graduation, Sean was commissioned into the US Army obtaining the rank of Captain and serving during Operation Desert Storm. He received an honorable discharge from the Army, and enrolled at LeTourneau University earning his Master of Business Administration degree. Sean began working for Lockheed Martin in 2008 as a consultant before accepting a permanent position as an SAP Systems Engineer. He loved being outdoors, working in his yard and cheering for his favorite football team, the New Orleans Saints. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Gano and grandmother, Bertha Gano Mosely.
Survivors: daughter, Leah Gabrielle Gano of Mansfield; former spouse, Mary Gano of Arlington; mother, Dr. Gevevia Gano, Ed.D of Tampa, FL; paternal grandfather, Charlie Mosley of Rochester, NY; brothers, Lawrence Gano of Rochester and Samuel Gano, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA; sisters, Tabatha Gano of Danville, VA; Samatha Schwing and her husband Michael of Winter Garden, FL and Joanie Wright and her husband Eugene of Clermont, FL; niece, Juleyah Wright of Clermont, FL; numerous other relatives and friends.
