Ajia Neosha Perez's Obituary
Ajia Neosha Perez
It is with broken and devastated hearts that we announce that Ajia Neosha Perez lost her battle with mental illness on Feb 13, 2026, one week after her 27th birthday. Born on Feb 6, 1999, Ajia was an answer to prayer for a baby girl. Her name means “Sunrise; wonderful; superb,” and was she ever! She was an amazing gift from God; cherished daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and a treasured friend and co-worker. Ajia brought joy and laughter to everyone she met. Her smile lit up the room as well as her witty, silly, comedic antics – just to get you to laugh. She was naturally gifted in so many creative ways: acting, various art forms, and especially music. She had an incredible singing voice that caught your attention and made you listen. When she led worship, God took that gorgeous gift He gave her and magnified it even more. She was such a unique, quirky, and beautiful soul. She was imperfectly perfect. Her memory lives on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She leaves behind her parents – Jimmy and Fatima Perez, her brother and sister-in-love – Antonio and Uchenna Perez, her maternal grandparents – Mohamad and Neosha Makki, her paternal grandfather – Jimmy Perez Sr., her maternal Uncle and Aunt – Joey and Ashley Makki, her paternal Uncles and Aunts – Rafael and Ileana Montero, Elijah and Emily Hankerson, Chino Perez, Cathy Perez and Lisette Perez, MANY cousins, family in both Lebanon and Puerto Rico, and close friends that will miss her deeply. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Well Community at https://www.wellcommunity.org in Ajia’s memory.
