I will always remember the time I moved in with you and the family for those six months. Aba, from the very beginning, I saw how you were a ray of sunshine — someone who could uplift others simply with your positive energy and your beautiful smile. Even during a difficult time in my life, just being around you lifted my spirit and made me smile.
I’ll never forget our Sundays after church, stopping to get boba before heading home while Tia and Tio warmed up lunch for us. Those car rides were filled with deep conversations and the funniest ones too. I remember walking through the grocery store joking about pouring soy sauce on each other’s food or milk all over it — even though we were both allergic — and laughing until it hurt. We just loved being in each other’s presence.
You were like my better half. You helped me see the positive side of life when I couldn’t see it myself. Boba and desserts will always hold a special place in my heart because they remind me of you and the joy we shared.
