My father-in-law was a man full of stories. He loved to talk—about his childhood, his life, and the lessons he picked up along the way. Sitting with him, you didn’t just pass time… you learned something, you laughed, and you felt connected.
Some of my favorite memories are simple ones—him sitting on our porch in the morning, enjoying the sun, just at peace. Those quiet moments said a lot about who he was.
He also had a sweet tooth, especially for lime popsicles. Even when he wasn’t supposed to have too many, he still enjoyed them like a little treat he couldn’t resist. That was part of his charm.
One of the most special bonds he had was with Luna. She loved going to him and asking him to peel her tangerines, and he always did it with love. Those small, everyday moments are the ones that stay with us the most.
He leaves behind not just memories, but pieces of himself in all of us—through his stories, his advice, and the love he gave so freely.
We will miss him deeply, but we will carry him with us in those quiet mornings, in shared stories, and in the little moments that remind us of him every day.
