Alfonso "Poncho" Rodriguez, 24, was received into the hands of God, Sunday, August 4, 2013 after succumbing to injuries from a motorcycle accident.
Visitation: 2pm to 8pm Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Mansfield Funeral Home; 1556 W. Heritage Parkway; Mansfield.
Celebration of Life: 10:30am Wednesday at Creekwood Church;
260 N. Miller Road; Mansfield.
Burial: Cleburne Memorial Cemetery.
Poncho was born November 17, 1988 in Dallas, grew up in Alvarado and attended Mansfield High School. He currently worked for James Hardie Industries and resided in Cleburne. Poncho was a free spirited person who lived each day to the fullest. He loved riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family, especially his nephew Kayden. He was always happy and very respectful to others. Poncho will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Gloria Gonzales of Dallas.
Survivors: mother, Zita Rodriguez and her husband David Whitacre of Cleburne; brothers, Zeno Rodriguez of Dallas and Gustavo Rodriguez of Cleburne; sister, Crystal Riley and her husband Shaun of Rio Vista, TX; stepbrother, David Nichols of Mansfield; Aunt, Michall Allen of Ennis; uncle, Max V. Rodriguez of Alvarado; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
