Alleane Thomas' Obituary
Alleane was born in Quinlan, TX to James Umble and Levi Graham on October 22, 1937. She graduated from Forney High School in 1954. Born an only child, she was used to living as the apple of the eyes of those who encountered her. One person found her too hard to resist, and on October 8, 1955, she married her lifelong sweetheart, Eddie B. Thomas in Forney, TX. Happily married, and ready to begin anew, Alleane and Eddie B. eventually moved to Fort Worth, TX where they joined Progressive Baptist Church. During their early years, Eddie B. served in the U.S. Navy while Alleane was a devoted stay at home wife. Sunshine peaked in when they welcomed their baby girl, Angela Thomas on January 27, 1965, and it stayed a while longer as they introduced their little boy, Eddie James Thomas on June 19, 1966. Alleane had various jobs but retired as a seamstress for the State School in 2002. She was a faithful member of the Salem Missionary Baptist Church for 45 years, serving in leadership of the women’s ministry, usher board, and vacation bible school. Throughout her life, Alleane persevered through many hardships, and on March 27, 2022, she left this earthly dwelling for her eternal home with Christ. Sis. Thomas could best be described by her family and friends as a woman who gave all she had and loved as hard as she could. She will forever be loved, missed and cherished. Until we meet again...
