Amy Sweatt Durkee's Obituary
Amy Durkee was born in Corsicana, Texas to loving parents Patricia and E.C. on August 1st, 1972. She peacefully passed away on August 30th, 2023 at the age of 51 surrounded by loved ones. She relentlessly pursued a life full of of joy until the very end. Most of her childhood was spent in Odessa, Texas with her big sister, Laurel. She and her family relocated to Mansfield, Texas, where she would graduate from Mansfield High School in 1990 and reside for the rest of her life. She would raise her two daughters, Caitlyn and Chloe in a home full of love, laughter, and friends, being known as “Momma Durkee” to many. She was a lover of live music, sports, and any and all creatures with fur. Amy is survived by her eldest daughter, Caitlyn Durkee and her fiancé, George Sani, as well as her youngest daughter, Chloe Durkee. She is also survived by her sister Laurel Douty and her husband Paul Douty. Amy was a lifelong animal lover, and leaves behind her dogs, Sadie and Moose, and her cat, Aspen. She is joyfully reunited with her four legged children, Reagan, Sully, Lola, and Boba, among others. She was welcomed to heaven by her mother, Patricia Duffer Sweatt, and her father, E. C. Duffer III, as well as other loved ones.
