I have so many memories of Atlee. But I think all my favorite ones revolved around our mutual love of food! Kathy and I still laugh about the 1st time he met me. I was Atlee's care giver and he and I had to work together on his diet. In the end, I won! Onemorning I switched out his regular sausage with vegan and he never noticed the difference! He laughed hard when I told him and went with my changes then on. We had many good times together. We would work on his yard, he telling me where to plant and me doing so. He would play music for me and tell me stories of growing up in Uvalde. Of course he often told me stories of the love of his life, Kathy. I will miss him so very much and count myself blessed that he was my friend.
