Mother Brenda Faye Miles' Obituary
Brenda Faye Choyce Miles was born October 18, 1949, in Shreveport, Louisiana (Caddo Parrish), to Ernest and Golden Choyce. Her education began in Bonita, Louisiana at Bonita Rosenwald. She graduated from Union High School in 1966. She later attended Grambling State University where she obtained a B.S. degree in Mathematics; during her studies at Grambling she was selected to attend a summer program at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She also attended Louisiana State University where she received a Masters degree in Computer Science. Subsequently, she earned a PhD in Computational Analysis and Modeling at Louisiana Tech. For over 30 years, she taught as a computer science professor at Wiley College, Southern University, and Grambling State University. At the tender age of 10, she learned the truth about Jehovah and fell in love with the ministry. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on May 2, 1972. Over the years, she enjoyed pioneering and assisted others in coming to know and love Jehovah. She served faithfully until her death on May 16, 2026.
She is survived by Allen Maurice Miles Sr., her loving husband of 55 years; her two siblings: Ernestine Manuel (Texas) and Cedric R. Choyce (Louisiana); three children: Pachonce Brantley (Brent), Heather Miles, Allen Miles II (Krystal); four grandchildren: Gabrielle Roberson, Darrell Roberson, Avery Miles and Gideon Miles; and a host of relatives and friends.
