I attended Alcorn College with Dr. Buford Satcher between 1962 - 66. I had the pleasure of entering the fold of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. with him and five others. Because of height, he was number one and I was number 7. He will be missed. My condolences to the members of all of his circles and particularly his immediate family.

One of the most favorite instructors that I never had. I believe I learned more from Dr. Satcher than many of my instructions on campus. He was so cool and down to earth. He will definitely be missed. Oh, to get his perspective on things happening these days would be amazing and quite thought provoking. Prayers and condolences to the family. RIL Dr. Satcher.

Dr. Satcher was one of my favorite professors at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. He made learning about blacks in American history interesting and intriguing. He was awesome in how he delivered our lectures.
Prayers and condolences are extended to Mrs. Satcher and the rest of the family!
