The very first time coming to NewLife, she came in and smiled the entire service and afterwards I went to her and she hugged me as only a Church Mother could. The highlight of my day..
It was if the Lord sent her that day just for me, " I NEEDED IT MORE THAN ANYTHING "..and from that moment on, she and I were locked in . I would often ask, Mother are you praying for me..?, until she begin telling me,Pastor im praying for you. As a leader it means alot to have someone standing in the gap for you. The last time we were together was in November of 2k25, I had to minister in Louisiana and she traveled with us, a 5hr drive but we laughed ALL THE WAY THEIR and back. A moment I shall never forget...
The look in her eyes when we stop by the chicken place( Southern Classic) and once she tasted the chicken she looks at me and said, "Now That's Some Good Stuff"... Oh the laughter, the fun and the memories.
Short lived for us, but moments that shall never be forgotten.
Another memory was when I introduced her to lady Gatlin, she looks at me and said " YOU DID GOOD" a motherly approval.
Last but not lease,the day Morher Greer transitioned from earth to reward, I was present, I walked into her room and laid my hand upon her head and immediately she took her last breath. It was as if I had to be in the room, thank you Mother Carrie Jean Greer for sharing some forever memories within such a short period of time. I shall never forget.
