Charles Edward Crownover. FORT WORTH – Charles Crownover was born in Fort Worth, on Dec. 19, 1943, and died on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017, in Mansfield, TX. CELEBRATION OF LIFE: 10 a.m. Tuesday September 12, 2017 at Mansfield Funeral Home, 1556 Heritage Parkway Mansfield, TX 76063. Charles served in the U.S. Navy, and was proud to have served his country. He lived life to the fullest. Charles had a contagious smile, and welcoming personality. Charles enjoyed golf, traveling, and reading. In his spare time, he completed crossword puzzles, and could be found listening to the melodic voice of Bill Withers, Bobby Blue Bland, and various other blues musicians. Charles was a kind and loving companion, father, grandfather, and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his mother, Odell Smith Crownover; father, Charlie Crownover; and sisters, Joan (Annette) Crownover and Fannie Crownover. SURVIVORS: Longtime Companion, Linda McGee; daughter, Latrece Crownover (Dereck White); son, Brandon McGee; grandson, Zachary White; brothers, Robbie Crownover and Jerry Crownover; and a host of other relatives and friends.
