I met Dana in 2009 at The Flame, fell in love with his soulful voice, I nicknamed him "The Soul Man". Throughout the years we became good friends and then close friends. Dana was the kind of guy that everybody he met would eventually become his friend. He had that "signature smile" that would light up a room, and when he greeted you, it was with that smile. After his heart transplant and he was unable to drive, I would pick him up and we would go to Niki's. At closing time when we were leaving, I'd would say to Dana, "Hey D, let's go the limo's waiting" and most people actually thought we left in a limo, that was our joke for the evening. I told D, "we're leaving in style". You were given a second chance at life with a new heart and meeting the love of your life, Vivian, I saw how happy you 2 were together, only to end so suddenly just after 3 years. Anyway, Dana we had some great times and some great memories, you are one of a kind gentleman, there are not many that can live up to that, your life and your memory will live on through all the pics we have of you with all the Rawstinites, and the video's of you singing some of your most favorite songs. It's still surreal that you have left us, harder that I did not get to say good-bye, but perhaps, it was better this way. RIP my dear friend, gone but will never be forgotten. Love you brother, Joe and Marla Narviz.
