David McAdams' Obituary
Preston David McAdams, 60, of Arlington Texas, passed away at home with his family by his side on Monday July 17th, 2023 after battling cancer for the past year.
David was born on September 15th, 1962 to Marshall and Sunny McAdams in Lubbock Texas. He graduated from Lorraine High School where he competed in various amounts of sports and activities such as tennis, track, golf, football, musical theater, choir, and marching band.
After high school, he attended college for two years where he met the love of his life, Theresa Darlene. David and Theresa dated for a very short year then tied the knot in 1984. They spent 33 crazy wonderful years together and had five children who also blessed them with ten grandchildren.
David worked in various professions until he found his true passion in truck driving. For over 25 years, he spent many of his days and nights travelling throughout the United States where he drove nearly two million safe miles or Frito Lay and PepsiCo. He truly did love his job and was one of the best at what he did.
David was a fun and loving person who made it his mission to brighten everyone’s day. Outside of just being an awesome person, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing his guitar, riding his motorcycle, singing karaoke, gambling, listening to audio books, and anything that involved being with his family.
David is preceded in death by his mother and father, his wife Theresa McAdams, his son Jeremy McAdams, and his brother-in-law Richard Housewright.
David is survived by his daughter and son-in- law Tamara and Joshua Adams, daughter Amber Lindsey, son Joshua McAdams, son Caleb McAdams, and his ten grandchildren; Bailey, Dakota, Tye, Kane, Taylor, Alaska, Izabella, Adrian, Kodi, and Gabriella.
David is also survived by his five sisters Rebecca and husband Richard, Brenda and husband Eddie, Joaney, Machelle and Husband Jeremy, step-sister Stephanie and step-brother John, as well as several nieces and great nephews.
